PREKSHA MEDITATION
Yoga and Naturopathy
Yoga is a holistic system that originated in ancient India and encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual practices. It involves various postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, and ethical principles aimed at promoting overall well-being. Yoga is known for enhancing flexibility, strength, and mental clarity, as well as reducing stress and promoting inner harmony. It is widely practiced for both physical fitness and spiritual growth.
Naturopathy, on the other hand, is a system of alternative medicine that emphasizes the body’s innate ability to heal itself through natural therapies. It employs a range of treatments, including diet and nutrition, herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle counseling. Naturopathy focuses on addressing the root causes of illnesses rather than merely treating symptoms. The approach is holistic, considering the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. Naturopathic practitioners often promote a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing preventive measures to support the body’s natural healing processes. Both Yoga and Naturopathy share a common philosophy of promoting balance and harmony within the individual for optimal health and well-being.
